The i Pad 1 came out in April 2010, and is a tablet computer that was designed, developed, and sold by Apple inc. It's primary use is for audio-visual media, such as, books music movies, and games. The i Pad runs on the same operating system as the i Pod and i Phone, basically allowing you to surf the Web via Wi-Fi. It comes stock with multi touch technology The i Pad 1 has no camera, but has an on board keyboard display, including a fingerprint resistant liquid crystal display screen, with a 10 hour rechargeable battery. It runs apps that you can get at the apps store from Apple. At first the i Pad was only available on-line at the Apple store,but now is available at Amazon, Wal Mart, Best Buy,Verizon, and AT&T.
The i Pad 2 came out in March of 2011, it is 33% thinner, lighter, and stronger then the i Pad 1. It comes with a camera and a dual core Apple A5 processor; which is said to be twice as fast as the i Pad 1. It has 4 point screen rotation and comes with Safari, Mail, Photos, U-Tube, Books, Maps and Notes, a Calendar and Spotlight Search. Wi-Fi connection and all the other features included with the i Pad 1, are in the i Pad 2 starting at around $600.00.
